How to Love People Who Hate You: Cooking with LOVE

Like little girls, life is often made up of sugar AND spice. There are sweet days and sweet people mixed in with days and people that are a little harder to swallow. Even though this is a basic truth of life, did you know that you can control the outcome of the recipe? It's true! Like the super spice, vanilla, LOVE can totally change the outcome of anything that life can dish out!

For example, there are times when people dislike you because of the things or opportunities you have been blessed with. This has become so common to us that there is now a name for these people, "haters"! They may be hard to swallow (especially if you have tried to be loving and kind to them) but remember, LOVE can change the recipe of "haterade" into sugary, sweet, refreshing Kool-Aid.

When life throws you days or people that are hard to swallow, remember this scripture: Mark 12:30 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." Let these scriptures warm your heart and sweeten your situation.

We are commanded to love! Forge ahead in life, knowing that God is pleased whenever you CHOOSE LOVE over hate. We are containers of LOVE and my earnest prayer is that you NEVER EVER let anyone steal your love. Love is powerful! God is love!
