4 Home Decor Ideas To Brighten Up A Room

Hey Sugar! It's time to get Jushhhing! We all desire to have a home and life we love, but sometimes actually having it seems impossible. Often, we make life harder than it needs to be and find ourselves bowing out gracefully from achieving our home and life goals because we tell ourselves that it's too late, too hard, or that we have too little to work with. I Chastity, The Homemaker in High Heels, am here to boldly say "No more excuses, LET'S GET JUSHHHING!"

No one creates a life and home they love overnight. Even God himself took an entire week (and rested on the seventh day)! I am a firm believer that everything in life is doable when broken down into small actionable steps and I'm here to help YOU take those few small steps that will make a huge impact on your home, life, and style! Ok, put your hand up because I just tossed you a cyber high five! You can do this girlfriend!

Here are a few simple steps to get you started on your path to creating a home and life you love!

It's easy when decorating your home to just pick items here and there with no real meaning or connection just because they are on sale or readily available. That, however, is a setup for a "room full of nothing." When shopping for household items pick things that make you happy and that you think are beautiful and meaningful. Place items that have special significance to you and those you live with in well-lit areas of your home surrounded by other likable things (e.g. flowers, books, gifts, candles) in groups of 3 or 5. This creates a look that is intentional instead of one that is thrown together.

Natural sunlight not only brings light into your home but according to www.mindbodygreen.com it also builds the immune system. I' sure we all could use a little help with fighting off infections so open your blinds and/or curtains and let nature do it's thing - SHINE! Sunlight is free and will truly brighten your room and spirit!

You have an opportunity every day that you are in "the land of the living" to bring light and love to others. Even when you are "going through" remember - there is always someone else going through something just as challenging who needs that special loving touch that only you have to help them. Purpose in your heart to be a container of love to at least one person today and pour your freshly brewed pot of love onto them. Words of encouragement, positivity, smiles, hugs, and acts of service brighten everyone's day!

Fill Yourself Up With LOVE

Mathew 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

I'm so excited about your decision to take these small steps in your home and life today that will get you closer to living and loving your life. I care about your journey and I would love for you to write to me at chastitystemmonsenterprises@hotmail.com and tell me how you felt when you took these steps and how they are changing your life. Also, send in pictures of any of the tips listed above that you implemented.
